Higher Education

University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT): Located in Oshawa, UOIT produces graduates trained for a career in advanced manufacturing. With programs like Mechatronics Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering, talented staff - educated in the latest technologies - are ready for hire.
Trent University: With campuses in Peterborough and Oshawa, skilled graduates with both practical experience and technical knowledge, from Trent University’s Agri-food Programs, are attracted to work in Northumberland County.
Durham College: The Oshawa and Whitby campuses produce trained talent for advanced manufacturing and plastics industries. Durham College offers hundreds of programs in engineering, technology, and automotives. In addition to its fully serviced campuses in Oshawa and Whitby, the college also offers the community valuable employment resources through their Community Employment Resource Services, which are located in Port Perry, Port Hope, Beaverton, Uxbridge, Bowmanville and downtown Oshawa.
Loyalist College: With campuses in Port Hope and Belleville, Loyalist College is known for offering one of Canada’s most innovative manufacturing workforce development programs (Elevate Plus). The on-site Loyalist Training and Knowledge Centre also creates custom courses, apprenticeships, and internship programs for advanced manufacturing, agri-food, and plastics sectors.
